Birdwell Insulation Ltd are Sheffield-based insulation installers and sheet metal engineers, delivering industrial insulation, ductwork, plantrooms, and cladding across South Yorkshire since 1993.

Like most specialist contractors, Birdwell receive enquiries, price the job, and need to get a professional quote back to the customer. Their contracts managers would work out the figures in Excel, send a quick price back to the customer to confirm interest, then the Excel sheet would join a pile waiting to be typed up properly.

That typing up fell to an admin person who would work through the pile in batches — extracting figures, copying in addresses, matching the right spec, formatting it into a branded Word document.
